The Start[]

In mid 2011, I had recently found this new web series on YouTube: Battle for Dream Island. It was relatively small, with the channel, Jacknjellify, having only a few thousand subscribers. I had started watching around its 16th episode, and continued watching through the 9 other episodes. As the 25th episode ended, I thought that would be the last episode.

15 days later, I would come across another video from Jacknjellify. Being made the day before I saw it on my YouTube page. The video was titled “BFDI 26: Flower’s Revenge”. I thought the series had ended, but it didn’t? The thumbnail only had Flower staring, almost as if she was looking at me directly, her eyes seemed to have no detail in them, just 2 black voids.

I clicked on the video, expecting something such as the successor to the events in the finale. The video started out as normal, the intro played, but there was no pre-intro part of the episode like most. The intro just started, and when it ended, the soon to be horrid episode started.

The Episode[]

There was no music, it was just the contestants aside from a few who I don’t remember. The video looked rushed and unclean, it felt uncanny, it didn’t feel like Jacknjellify made it. Flower opposed on their side of the screen, and without any context or warning, Flower took a knife, and pointed it to the contestants. She then said something about the contestants always messing with her life, and how they were proud of it. She was angrier than I had ever seen, it didn't even feel cartoonish like all the episodes had been. Flower then told them that she would kill them.

With the knife, Flower lunged at Bubble. She drew the knife, and stabbed Bubble multiple times. Blood spewed through Bubble’s neck as Flower laughed hysterically, as if she waited forever to murder her. As Bubble’s blood trickled down from her still body onto the grass, Flower then lunged at pencil, as Flower stabbed through Pencil, and impaled her from the stomach. Bits of flesh were drawn from the sharp blade as Flower retracted the knife. For the short time Pencil was alive, she cried out for Match. Flower then beheaded pencil as her head fell onto the ground in front of Match. Her body then dropped on the floor, dead. Match cried as she watched her best friend die. Match was horrified as she said,

“O.M.G, Flower! That was like, brutal! STO-“

Before she could finish her sentence. Flower lunged at Match as she did with the other two, as Flower drew a second knife, she stabbed Match in the head from both sides, as she brutally skinned her.

Flower then drew 17 more knifes, and threw them at each and every contestant, where they all died and were shown littered on the ground.

With the contestants dead, Flower then walked to the Announcer, who watched the massacre. Flower walked up to the Announcer, as he angered Flower with his remark calling her an ungrateful piece of a flower weed. Before the Announcer could finish his sentence, Flower took him by the back, holding him up to Flower’s height, before stabbing the Announcer through his speaker, killing him instantly as his eye rolled out from inside the speaker.

As I stared in absolute horror, almost at the verge of tears from how gruesome and horrible it was, text appeared, as a black background filled the video, saying in all caps, “SHE WANTED REVENGE.” Flower then stared at the screen, just like in the thumbnail, with indescribable audio playing, seemingly in reverse.

My Investigation[]

It has been 11 years since I saw that video. I tried looking everywhere for any evidence of this episode existing. It seems like it was taken off the internet not long after. I asked old BFDI fans if they had seen the episode before, most of which said no, but one said something about the end of an episode having reversed audio, which he reversed to end up still being indescribably, the only word that was made out were “announcer.” Other than that, I cannot find anybody who remembers this episode, it seems that I'm the only one who remembered it being real, as I remember almost each and every detail of the gruesomeness of the video. With no lead, I had contacted Cary Huang, the co-creator of BFDI, and when asked about it, he said:

“Hey Matt, I saw your email regarding BFDI 26, and I'll clear up some things about it.

To start, me and Michael were intrigued about horror, as we had recently taken a like for it. Because of this, both of us thought about making a horror BFDI episode. We also took a new squirt effect FLA that we found on the internet, which we planned to use in BFDIA. So both of us ended up making the 3 scenes for the short episode. one was done by me, one was done by Michael, and the last I did. After we made it, we agreed on posting it to YouTube. That was before I realized how that could be a problem. We knew that many kids would watch it if we were to post the episode, and because of the huge amount of blood in each scene, it wouldn't fit BFDI or its style, but Michael's stubbornness made him upload it to it anyway, under the name "BFDI 26: Flower's Revenge," which would be what you saw. When I found out that Michael posted the video, I deleted it the moment I saw it.

Within the final product of BFDIA and further, that squirt effect was never used and it is now lost to time."

Being somewhat of an artist, I had redrew scenes from the episode through my memory, and came up with these:

Flower threatening the contestants with the knife.

Bubble's body. There was more blood originally than my version.

Match's body. Similar with Bubble's, there was more blood originally.

The remaining contestants shocked.

As I said earlier about how the the contestants were littered on the ground dead, here are some of the pictures I had come up with.

Eraser's body.

Firey's Body.

Leafy's Body.

Golf Ball's Body.

On top of that, I had also found a font similar to the one used around the end of the episode, and remade the scene.

My recreation.

Since these were drawn from memory, it wasn't very accurate, as Flower was probably in the scenes of both Bubble and Match, but it is the closest I have right now.

Upon looking through BFDI 25, I realized how Firey, Leafy, and Bubble weren't supposed to be there, so that confirms that BFDI 26 was not the successor to the finale, which further expands that it was an experiment for blood splatters.

My Investigation, August 21st, 2023[]

Since I wrote this, I would like to add some things that I had found.

To start, one of Announcer's voice line has been found.

"What do you want, you ungrateful piece of a flower weed?"

In the scene he says this, this is one of the frames from possibly the original video.

Possibly one of the frames from the scene Announcer says this.

The voice line is real, but I am not sure about the picture, as it was given to me from an anonymous user on Discord.

Along with that, within looking through my old Email's, I had found a letter from the Huang Twins.

The letter. The font could possibly be the font, "Lucida Handwriting"

At first, I didn't think anything of it. Until when I did, I remembered something I did over 11 years ago, about a day or two after I watched the episode. I sent an email to the Huang Twins, saying something along the lines of how horrible the video was and how they shouldn't have made it. To which they responded with the mail above. I quickly printed it.

My Investigation, December 23rd, 2023[]

Wow, it's been a very long time. But to start, not much has been furthered in the investigation towards this episode, given that I've spent time on other things. But recently I had learned to animate, so that way I could properly animate what happened in this horrid episode. So I will be working on that soon. Many people have messaged me about this episode, claiming they have "found it", and to that I say that it is not true. Most of these episodes are heavy remakes or just straight up copies of my work.

As an example, This video made by KCRAMBO is a supposed real episode. It features most of my imagery, is uncredited, and shows that it is a rip-off of the episode. It gets the main points of the video, but it is very hard to understand from a 3rd person view. From a 3rd person view, it looks like a slideshow of a bunch of objects dying by stab wounds. This person also claims to have the exact date of creation, with them saying in the titled that it was made on April 6th, 2012. In reality, about 2 weeks passed since the finale when the episode came out, not a few months.

In short, I will plan on reanimating the episode so you can properly understand what the episode was like.

One more thing, if you don't know who to credit, just credit me as "Matt Morales".[1]

My Theory[]

My theory to this mystery is that BFDI 26 is real, and not an myth or an urban legend like many have said throughout my research. It was an episode made by Cary to look scary for an unknown reason. The reason for its blood was to experiment with squirt effects.

If you find any reuploads on the internet, or if you own anything relating to the video, please let me know.

-Matt
