Can you quit an escape room? ›

You Can Always Leave

If you have a legitimate emergency, however, you are always free to leave the game—simply exit through the door you came in. However, you might not be allowed back in once you leave, so prepare ahead and only leave if you really must.

What Is An Escape Room? An escape room is an immersive, 60-minute, adventure game. Groups attempt to find clues and solve a series of puzzles to escape before time runs out! The best escape games have multiple rooms for exploring, unique themes, and Hollywood-level sets.

For your safety, if an object is out of reach, there will be a tool to help you reach it. Do not mess with outlets or light switches; they are not part of the escape. Do not pry open any lock boxes or trick boxes; if the lock is not opening, let someone else give it a try. A key or combo will only open one lock.

It isn't customary not to tip in the United States, especially if the person you have been interacting with is helpful in your process. You likely won't tip 20% as you would in a restaurant, but it is customary and polite to thank your host with a few dollars each.

If you don't escape an escape room in time, the game is considered over. Participants will usually be allowed to stay in the room for a few more minutes to gather their belongings and discuss their progress. In some cases, the game master enters the room to explain the remaining puzzles and how to solve them.

First things first, don't forget your ID. Some escape rooms have age restrictions, so it's good to have it handy. While some rooms provide these, it doesn't hurt to bring your own. It's handy for jotting down clues or ideas.

So, can you be drunk in an escape room? Absolutely not. We do not allow players to consume alcohol at any point when they are on our premises, especially inside the escape room. Alcohol is banned for the safety of our guests, so we will not permit any players who are visibly intoxicated or carrying alcohol with them.
